Working Student (f/m/d) Group Accounting

Tasks:

Are you eager to combine financial expertise with modern technology? Join the Group Accounting team at EEX Group in Leipzig. In your role as Working Student (f/m/d) you will gain hands-on experience in international accounting, support key closing processes, and actively contribute to modernizing our workflows through AI-driven tools. You will support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for EEX Group in accordance with IFRS, assist in researching accounting topics and drafting accounting memos and guidelines as well as provide project-based support in creating presentations and guidelines for our Internal Control System (ICS) as well as exploring and implementing modern AI tools across accounting workflows. After all, we value the exchange of ideas, being there for each other and encouraging each other to become better. We call it: the exchange mindset.

Requirements:

  • Current studies in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics or related field at a University in Germany
  • Availability to join the team on site in the office in Leipzig regularly
  • Possibility to work as a student for 1,5-2 years with 18-20 hours on 3 days per week (full-time possible during semester break)
  • Solid foundational knowledge of general accounting principles and IFRS
  • Confident user of MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
  • Keen interest in AI solutions and digital tools
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning
  • Fluency in English (our official working language); conversational German is a welcome bonus
