The Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) in Dres-den is a world-leading, highly interdisciplinary and international basic research insti-tute. The MPI-CBG's research program brings together biologists, chem-ists, theoretical physicists, mathematicians, and computer scientists to pursue an-swers to the scientific question "How do cells form tissue?" in a dynamic working en-vironment. The Institute has recently expanded its research vision to include stem cell models, synthetic tissue systems, and organoid models. In many cases, the re-sults of this basic research also provide clues for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer's disease and retinal degeneration. Student Helper in Culture & Integration (m/f/d/)

in the field of culture and integration

Working field:

The MPI-CBG is seeking a Student Helper (m/f/d) in the field of culture and integration for 10 hours per week, initially for a period of 6 months. The aim of the position is to support the research and compilation of cultural offers and information material on topics such as integration, health, insurance, taxes, retirement, and working in Germany, specifically at a Max Planck Institute

Your Responsibilities:

  • research and compile cultural offers and information for an international audience
  • create a weekly blog/newsletter on culture and integration
  • create and update existing flyers on topics such as registering with the employment office, exchanging driver's licenses, naturalization, doctor visits, etc.
  • assist in graphically representing contact points and policies for better comprehension
  • update lists of doctors and contacts relevant to international employees

Requirements:

  • enrolment at a German university
  • good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
  • intercultural skills
  • confident use of MS Office programs and basic knowledge of Adobe, Wordpress or InDesign
  • flexibility, reliability and an independent working style
