Research assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:

  • Controllers for the Fault-ride-Through behavior for grid-forming converters connected to wind turbines are developed and analyzed
  • A suitable validation involving EMT (Electromagnetic Transients) simulation must be carried out
  • The importance of the design of dynamic controllers for the security of AC-DC networks is to be demonstrated using test networks. The high-voltage and microgrid levels with connection to multi-energy systems are considered
  • Imparting knowledge through lecture material and publication

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in engineering with a focus on electrical energy technology
  • Very good knowledge and experience in controlling network-forming converters
  • Very good knowledge and experience of EMT simulation
  • Very good knowledge and experience of network security
  • Experience in practical use of laboratory equipment
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; Willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
