Working field:

  • Collaboration in a research project focussing on process automation in Industry 4.0, where the project partner's existing technologies are of the project partner are being prepared and adapted for future applications. The work and research is based on a process management Process management software that uses
    BPMN-based models to control and monitor tasks for devices and workers
  • Analysing existing processes and protocols; developing and evaluating new concepts, data structures and vocabularies for end-to-end networking from product development to production
  • Supervision of student workers and student theses within the research project
  • Possibility of a doctorate (desirable)

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed scientific university degree (diploma, master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, industrial engineering, technical computer science or business informatics (or similar studies)
  • Very good programming skills in at least the JavaScript programming language
  • Knowledge and experience with distributed systems, middleware technologies, communication protocols
  • Good skills in abstraction, modelling and creative solution finding
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Desirable:

  • Experience with product planning, creation and production processes in industry
  • Knowledge of industry communication standards/protocols
  • Knowledge of semantic web and vocabularies
  • Experience in process automation based on BPMN
