Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD)

Part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • taking over teaching and research tasks
  • preparation and realization of courses in the extent of currently four LVS
  • supporting the supervision of students and research assistants
  • work on various research topics in the field of numerical mechanics and material modeling, in particular in the field of nonlinear mechanics and the finite element method
  • development of original programs and performing simulations
  • preparation of high-quality publications and presentations

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the field of mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics, informatic or equivalent
  • ability to work scientifically, typically proven by international publications
  • sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in German and/or Englisch is expected; willingness to learn either English or German
  • independent and goal-oriented way of working as well as open-mind for interdisciplinary tasks
  • above-average commitment, strong communication skills and team spirit
