part-time employment may be possible, under the reserve that funds are granted

Working field:

We are currently investigating 2 large districts in Berlin and are supporting them scientifically in the transformation towards climate neutrality. The focus is on the reduction of the energy demand of the buildings and the extensive integration of renewable energy sources. Our analysis ranges from energy production to the distribution, storage and control of heat and cold between the buildings to the use in indoor spaces. Extensive parameter and sensitivity studies will be performed, including the use of AI methods. In the quarters, the measures proposed by us are to be realized in the short term and subsequently scientifically supervised by us by means of energy monitoring and operational optimization.
The opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree is available.
