Research Assistant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

Working field:

  • Participation in the research project IDunion (www.idunion.org) in the area of secure and trusted digital identities. Adjacent research areas are blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) as the key technologies for the realization of self-sovereign identity (SSI) paradigms
  • Participation in national as well as international workgroups to design and standardize SSI components
  • Mentoring of student workers and student theses within the research project
  • Possibility of writing a doctoral dissertation

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science or a related field
  • Experience with distributed systems, middleware and database technologies
  • Programming experience in at least one programming language, such as Kotlin, Java or JavaScript
  • First experiences with distributed ledger technologies (e.g. Hyperledger, Ethereum or similar)
  • Very good skills of abstraction, modelling, and finding creative solutions
  • Goal-oriented and self-organized work attitude
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
