Working field:
The project aims at developing a miniaturized aerosol printhead technology capable of outperforming the state of art in terms of flexibility, simplicity, and cost efficiency. The offered position is part of a joint project between IFW Dresden and a Fraunhofer Institute in Dresden. You will be part of an experienced research team and work in close collaboration with external colleagues. Tasks foreseen for the offered position at IFW comprise:
Requirements:
As a successful candidate (m/f/d) you should have a Master’s degree or Diploma in material sciences, microsystems engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, and you should have acquired your PhD in a similar discipline. Due to your previous research experience you have comprehensive knowledge in the fields of acoustic high-frequency technology as well as thin-film and microtechnology. Experience in Surface acoustic wave driven acoustofluidics and droplet / aerosol generation, as well as microprinting or automation are advantageous. A very good knowledge of written and spoken English, and a distinctive ability to work in an international, interdisciplinary team complete your profile.
What we offer:
The salary is according to the German tariff TV-L (EG 13, 100%, fulltime is preferred, part-time is possible).
