Science of Intelligence is Berlin-based research network of six partner organisations (Technische Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, Universität Potsdam, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Max Planck Institute for Human Development), founded in 2019 and funded by the German Research Foundation as part of Germany’s Excellence Initiative. Together, international scientists in interdisciplinary research teams investigate the principles shared by all forms of intelligence in order to ethically and responsibly apply them to the creation of intelligent technologies.
To further strengthen our interdisciplinary team, we are looking for an Equal Opportunities Officer for the issues of inclusion and diversity.

Working field:

  • Promotion of equal opportunities in personnel matters and with regard to the compatibility of work life and family life
  • Conception and organisation of thematic event formats
  • Promoting equal opportunities by monitoring and advising bodies and individuals
  • Creation of structures, offerings, tools, and measures on equal opportunities
  • Monitoring diversity aspects and controlling measures
  • Active participation in subject-specific networks and working groups
  • Budget planning and management


  • Successfully completed university studies in a subject area qualifying for the job (preferably political science, social science, cultural studies, communication or humanities)
  • Proven professional competence in the field of diversity and inclusion
  • Proven Experience in developing and organising workshops / events
  • Proven Experience in setting up and implementing support structures in a university context
  • Knowledge of quality assurance structures and methods; ability to independently develop and implement quantitative and qualitative monitoring elements
  • Excellent knowledge of existing gender equality programmes for young researchers
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in budget planning
  • Independent, careful, structured way of working, experience in international contexts
  • strong communication and conflict-management skills, service orientation, ability to work in a team
